Ifmc 2000 report
The XIIIth IFMC was held since November 29 till December 3, 2000. Within the frameworks of the Festival the National Contemporary dance Competition took place. Ten Belarusian dance companies took part in the contest:
- “Gostitsa” Folk-Theatre, Minsk. Artistic Director and Choreographer Larisa Simakovich;
- “TAD” Contemporary Dance Group, Grodno. Artistic Director and Choreographer Dmitry Kurakulov;
- “Quadro” Contemporary Dance Group, Gomel. Artistic Director and Choreographer Inna Aslamova;
- “Gallery” Modern Ballet, Grodno. Artistic Director and Choreographer Alexander Tebenkov;
- Troupe of the sub-faculty of choreography of the Belarusian University of Culture. Artistic Director and Choreographer Svetlana Gutcovskaya, Minsk;
- Radu Poclitaru’s Project, Minsk;
- “Parallel” Studio, Vitebsk. Artistic Director and Choreographer Anastasia Makhova;

IFMC’2000 Awards
- Special prize “The best choreography” – “The Three Georgian Songs” miniature. Choreography: Radu Poclitaru;

- Special prize “The best performance” – Julia Diatko and Konstantin Kuznetsov (Radu Poclitaru’s Project);
- Special prize “The creative development” – Alexander Tebenkov, “Ode to joy” miniature;
- Special prize “The year 2001” – “Wedding Outline” miniature. Troupe of the sub-faculty of choreography of the Belarusian University of Culture. Choreography: Svetlana Gutcovskaya.
